COCOA seeks Meals on Wheels volunteer drivers

KTVZ

Central Oregon Council on Aging (COCOA) is recruiting volunteer drivers to deliver meals in the Bend-Tumalo area on a weekly basis.

Through the COCOA Meals on Wheels program, nutritious meals are delivered to individuals at home who are either home-bound or unable to purchase or prepare their own meals.

If you are looking for a rewarding volunteer experience, join this dynamic team of drivers and meet new people.

We also have a need for occasional kitchen help. Our volunteer coordinator can easily customize a schedule for you. The commitments for our drivers vary from those who drive a route once or twice a week tothose who substitute on an “on call” basis filling in when needed.

After an application, interview, background check, and full training, volunteers can begin driving for Meals on Wheels. To start the volunteer application process, please contact Bend Meals on Wheels Site Coordinator, Tami Magers 541-604-5763 or stop by the Bend Meals On Wheels office at the Bend Senior Center 1600 SE Reed Market Rd.

Central Oregon Council on Aging (COCOA) is a 501c3 organization dedicated to promoting dignity, well-being, security, and independence for Central Oregon Seniors.
