4-H kids prepare for Deschutes Co. Fair

There’s a great way to enjoy the 2014 Deschutes County Fair and help NeighborImpact feed thousands of families in Central Oregon.

Thanks to NewsChannel 21 — which counts NeighborImpact among its “21 Cares for Kids” partners — and Bluefish Dental & Orthodontics, kids 12 and under GET IN FREE and also receive one carnival ride free with the donation of one can of food. This special offer is only available on Thursday, July 31 st .

“NeighborImpact is all about getting out into the community and finding ways to partner with local organizations to help increase food donations,” said Sandy Klein, NeighborImpact’s food resource specialist. “We are thankful to NewsChannel 21, our 21 Cares for Kids partner, and Bluefish Dental & Orthodontics for their support.”

You can donate food prior to the fair at any Bluefish Dental & Orthodontics location, or just find the NewsChannel 21/Bluefish Dental & Orthodontics area inside the main entrance.

This offer is limited to ONE free ticket and one ride ticket per child (regardless of how many cans of food you bring) and the child must be present at the time of the donation to receive the deal.

All the food donated this Thursday goes directly to help feed families in Central Oregon.

The NeighborImpact Food Bank Program is the regional affiliate of the Oregon Food Bank and distributes over 2.6 million pounds of food to 40 local agencies in Crook, Deschutes, and Jefferson counties. Over 19,000 individuals are helped at emergency food sites every month during the year.
