Forest Road 30 to close at Crazy Creek through October

KTVZ

A short road segment of Forest Road 30 at the junction with Crazy Creek, about 5 miles east of Big Summit Prairie, will be closed beginning Wednesday, and expected to stay closed into October, while contractors install a new culvert.

The road will be marked as closed for a quarter-mile to the east and west of the intersection. Additionally, Forest Road 4250100, which travels north and south, will close at the junction with Forest Road 30 for the duration of the installation.

Travelers can find alternate driving routes east and west by using a Motor Vehicle Use Map (MVUM). The MVUM is free and available at all Forest Service offices in Central Oregon.

They can also be downloaded onto a smartphone through http://www.avenza.com/. The maps are GeoPDFs, so they track your location even when you do not have cell service.
