RDM plans another TSA PreCheck event this summer

More than 3,100 air travelers took advantage of an opportunity to sign up for the Transportation Security Administration’s PreCheck expedited screening program earlier this month at Redmond Airport – but others who were left waiting will get another chance this summer.

Numerous people who went online to secure an appointment slot found that all the appointments were booked, except for walk-ins A second agent was added midway through the 3-week period to make more openings available.

Airport representative Erinn Shaw told NewsChannel 21 on Thursday the event “was such a huge success,” another PreCheck appointment period has been scheduled for July 22 to Aug. 9.

Further details about how to sign for appointments up are expected in June.

Shaw reminded those who plan to take part that they need to bring legal documentation of their names and name changes.
