Update: Bend business’s stolen trailer recovered

(Update: Stolen trailer recovered)

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- A hydraulic dump trailer trailer stolen from Cascade Painting and Design in Bend was recovered Monday after a NewsChannel 21 story aired on the theft and someone informed the business of its location.

The black 1996 Walton trailer went missing sometime between February 11th and 12th, according to Misti Wertz, who was happy to share news of the recovery

Someone who saw the story told the company they'd seen it out at Juniper Ridge and met Wertz's boss, leading them to it. They thanked him and contacted police with the update.

The license plate is missing, she said, and "the wiring is all messed up, but it's in one piece. … it's in pretty much OK condition."

Wertz thanked the station for the story that led to the trailer's recovery.
