Family-friendly Central Oregon Sportsmen’s Show offers outdoor recreation fun

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) — The Central Oregon Sportsmen's Show returns to the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center this week. Running from March 5 to 8, 2026, the event features a wide variety of hunting, fishing, and camping exhibits.

The expo center will be filled with RVs and exhibitions designed for outdoor recreation. This year's show includes several new exhibits alongside traditional activities for both experienced sportsmen and families.

Peter O'Loughlin of the Central Oregon Sportsman Show said the event serves as a comprehensive resource for outdoor enthusiasts. "It's pretty simple. It's a great experience," O'Loughlin said. "I mean if you're looking for something in the hunting or the fishing side, that's great. We have some of the camping stuff here as well."

O'Loughlin highlighted the presence of Bi-Mart as a major part of the exhibition this year. "Bi-mart is here in a big bad way," O'Loughlin said. "So if you have your needs, they'll meet them. Certainly."

Beyond equipment and gear, the show is designed as a family-friendly event. One of the featured attractions for children is the trout pond, which offers an opportunity for kids to catch their first fish.

Admission prices are set based on age groups. Tickets for adults ages 17 and older are $15, while juniors ages 6 to 16 can enter for $5. Children ages 5 and under receive free admission. A two-day pass is also available for $20.

Pioneer License holders are eligible for free entry to the show. To receive the discount, holders must visit the will-call window and present either a paper or electronic license along with a driver's license. Organizers noted that all ticket sales are final, with no refunds provided for weather or travel changes.

The show is located at the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center at 3800 SW Airport Way. The event opens at 12 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and at 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

The Central Oregon Sportsmen's Show runs through Sunday, March 8, 2026. The final day of the event will conclude at 4 p.m.
