Swift response by Burns and Hines fire departments prevents total loss

BURNS, Ore. (KTVZ) -- On April 24th, a swift and coordinated response by the Burns Fire Department and Hines Volunteer Fire Department extinguished a significant structure fire on Pierce Street, preserving the majority of the building.

The multi-agency effort, which saw minimal resource utilization, highlighted the crucial role of volunteer firefighters in the community. No injuries were reported in the incident.

Harney District EMS responded for rehab. The Burns Police Department, Hines Police Department, and Harney County Sheriff's Office provided scene and traffic control.
