Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Show to Air LIVE on NBC and Telemundo

NEW YORK (KTVZ / NBC) -- The 50th “Macy's 4th of July Fireworks” special, America's largest Independence Day celebration, will illuminate the skies and air live at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC and Telemundo.
This year's event expands its pyrotechnic display across the Brooklyn Bridge, the lower East River and the lower Hudson River, honoring the nation's 250th anniversary.
The star-studded event will feature performances by Noah Kahan, Post Malone, Salt-N-Pepa, Bebe Rexha, Shaboozey and Blake Shelton.
The two-hour celebration will showcase more than 85,000 shells in 30 vibrant colors, alongside a laser show originating from the Brooklyn Bridge. Telemundo will also broadcast the event from 8-10 p.m. ET/PT, with Jessica Carrillo and Carlos Adyan as hosts.
Grammy Award-winning composer Jason Howland produced the musical score for the display, featuring a live vocal performance by Alexia Jayy, winner of NBC's “The Voice” season 29.
Live Events Executive Vice President Jen Neal and Specials for NBC and Peacock, emphasized the significance of this year's broadcast. “This year's broadcast will be especially meaningful as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of America and the 50th anniversary of Macy's 4th of July Fireworks,” Neal said. “This beloved live event creates a shared moment for viewers across the country while showcasing the powerful reach of both NBC and Peacock.”
Will Coss, Macy's 4th of July executive producer, highlighted the event's impact. “'Macy's 4th of July Fireworks' delivers the largest Independence Day celebration in the nation through a show-stopping spectacle that reminds us of the power of connection and shared experience,” Coss said. “We're proud to honor our 50th anniversary with an expanded show, never-before-seen effects and music's biggest stars for a truly unforgettable celebration.”
The 27-minute musical score, described as the emotional heartbeat of the pyrotechnic display, is designed in harmony with stage lighting and lasers. It is inspired by the enduring spirit of America and reimagines the iconic sounds of more than 50 years of beloved summer classics.
The iconic fireworks display will fire from six barges, expanding to both the lower East River in the Seaport District and the lower Hudson River in collaboration with Jersey City. This expansion provides miles of prime public viewing and aims to connect more communities.
The “Macy's 4th of July Fireworks” telecast is produced by Jesse Collins Entertainment in association with Macy's. Collins, Dionne Harmon and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay serve as executive producers.
NBC and Peacock also serve as the home of the “Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade,” which will celebrate its 100th anniversary in November. Through its “Macy's Celebrations Start at Macy's” initiative, the brand focuses on creating immersive experiences and memorable moments for customers nationwide.
