Redmond Chamber celebrates launch of Hearthstone at Redmond Ranch

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Hayden Homes and the Redmond Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony yesterday for Hearthstone at Redmond Ranch, a new townhome development in Northwest Redmond. The event included a donation to the nonprofit Leadership Redmond and serves as a preview for public grand opening events scheduled for this weekend.
The development is the first to open within the 400-acre Redmond Ranch project. With starting prices of $374,990, the community is designed to address a housing affordability gap in Redmond, where the median sales price reached $519,818 in July 2026. The builder stated the homes are attainable for households earning at or below 74% of the area median income without government subsidies.
At the ribbon-cutting ceremony yesterday, Homes presented a philanthropic donation to Leadership Redmond. The nonprofit, which is operated by the chamber, focuses on training residents to serve on community boards, government commissions and in elected offices at the local and state levels. The donation follows the company's “Give As You Go” philosophy, which the homebuilder has maintained since its founding in 1989.
Brett Swanson, regional director at Homes, noted that the community was built in the company's hometown to support the local workforce. “Today's ribbon cutting is a milestone moment,” Swanson said. “Hearthstone signals a bright future centered on livability, affordability and family. Homes is proud to bring Hearthstone to our hometown, guided by our Give As You Go™ philosophy—delivering accessible homeownership and a beautifully designed community where local families and our workforce can thrive.”
According to data from Zillow and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the median home sales price in Redmond was $519,818 as of July 2026. A median-income household of four in the area earns approximately $120,200 annually and can afford a home priced up to $500,446 without being housing cost-burdened. This creates a nearly $20,000 gap between typical home prices and what a median household can afford.
Eric Sande, executive director of the Redmond Chamber of Commerce, spoke about the impact of the development on the city's economy. “Homes has been a cornerstone of Redmond's growth and is a true partner in shaping our future,” Sande said. “This local homebuilder has created quality, attainable housing while investing in the economy and livability of our community. The launch of Hearthstone and continued investment in NW Redmond offers new homeownership opportunities for young professionals, small business owners, families and the people who make our city thrive.”
The new community features townhomes with specific exterior designs including masonry accents, black windows and upgraded garage doors. Residents will have access to a community park and local trail systems, as well as Highway 126 for commuting. The site is located at 2696 NW 29th Street in the approximately 400-acre Redmond Ranch area.
Grand opening events will continue this weekend, with public sessions scheduled for tomorrow, Aug. 1 and Sunday, Aug. 2, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees can tour model homes and enter a raffle for local gift cards and concert tickets.
Homes announced that buyers who purchase a home at Hearthstone during the month of August will receive their first year of annual HOA dues paid by the company.
