Jericho receives $20K grant to plan for Redmond shelter

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Jericho Road said Monday it has received $20,000 from the Central Oregon Health Council. The social service organization located in Redmond will use the funds towards creating a plan for a homeless shelter in their city.

The plan will be preliminary to additional efforts involving site location, funding and sustainability according to Eleanor Bessonette, Chair of the Jericho Road board.

“This is a huge first step to replicate the services so positively being met through Bethlehem Inn and others in the Bend area. We hope that what we can serve our friends and neighbors who are experiencing financial hardship as effectively," she said.
