REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- A motor home was destroyed by a fire on a southwest Redmond street Monday afternoon, causing no injuries but prompting police to close the road for about an hour.

Redmond firefighters arrived on the 2400 block of Southwest Cascade Avenue just after 3 p.m. to find the Class C motor home fully ablaze on the street, Captain Josh Clark said.

Redmond Fire & Rescue crews contained the fire in less than 10 minutes, but the motor home was a total loss, estimated at $5,000, including contents, Clark said.

The probable fire cause was an engine fire, he said, adding that the fire posed no threat to nearby homes.
