RV fire in East Redmond injures one person

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- A trailer fire on undeveloped land east of Redmond one person and left the fire district with no available emergency apparatus late Saturday night.

Officials say, because all district fire resources were tied up with the fire, Redmond Fire & Rescue was unable to send the appropriate number of responders to a separate high-priority medical call in the City of Redmond.

First responders arrived at the undeveloped land east of Redmond around 11 p.m. Saturday to find a trailer fully involved in flames, which had spread to nearby rubbish piles. Response crews initially dispatched to the scene included three brush engines, one medic unit, one battalion chief and nine firefighters.

An additional medic unit was dispatched to the scene to transport the injured civilian.
