Hot day on the way

Happy Thursday, Central Oregon!

A few thin clouds will invade the region Thursday night and lows will be in the 50s. Breezes will become light and variable after midnight.

Friday will be the warmest day of the week, with highs reaching the upper 80s and low 90s.

Breezes will stay gentle, but moisture moving in over these warm temperatures will give us a slight chance of late afternoon and evening thunderstorms.

The chance of rain showers will increase through Friday night.

Rain is likely all day Saturday, with a possibility of thunderstorms through the afternoon and evening. Highs will be cooling into the mid 70s.

Showers will taper off Sunday morning and highs will be around 70.

A chance of showers will return next Monday and taper off Tuesday.

Highs will get back to the mid 70s under mostly sunny skies by the middle of the week.
