Ending the dry period, rain tomorrow

Happy Thursday Central Oregon!

Today is the last day of this dry pattern as the ridge of high pressure shifts to the east. Enjoy the sunny and mild conditions because precipitation is coming our way tomorrow.

It will be chilly as you head out the door this morning. The roads are dry so travel conditions should not be a concern for the morning commute.

Highs today will reach the mid to upper 60s. It should be mostly sunny but as the day moves along we’ll start to see the clouds roll in.

Firefighters were working on prescribed burns over by the Sisters area. It looks like the smoke could be drifting towards Redmond and Prineville later today. We’ll be keeping an eye on the air quality.

We may see some scattered rain showers on Friday. Some high elevation snow is possible.

It looks like some of the rain may linger into Saturday.

Enjoy the rest of your day!
