Weekend Weather: Chilly Saturday Night, Perfect Sunday Sunshine

KTVZ

If you are looking at your phone right now wondering what the rest of the weekend looks like across Central Oregon, we have great news. Aside from a chilly, breezy evening, Sunday is looking like an absolute gem for the Tri-County area.

Here is your quick weekend timeline:

  • The Rest of Today (Post-3 PM): Beautiful and bright, but don't let the sunshine fool you. Northwest winds are picking up, bringing gusts near 30 mph through the evening. Grab a jacket if you are heading out for dinner.
  • Waking Up Sunday Morning: It is going to be cold! Temperatures will plummet into the lower to mid-30s overnight. If you have sensitive plants or backyard gardens out in Bend, Redmond, Madras, or Prineville, make sure they are protected before you go to bed tonight.
  • Sunday Daytime: Pure sunshine and gorgeous conditions. Winds will completely die down, and highs will bounce back nicely into the mid-to-upper 60s. It will be the perfect afternoon for a walk along the Deschutes River, a bike ride, or patio dining.
  • Up in the Cascades: Heading toward Sisters, Sunriver, or La Pine? Expect a colder night tonight with widespread freezing temperatures in the upper 20s to low 30s. Sunday will be sunny but crisp, with highs mostly staying in the 50s to lower 60s.

Beautiful weather returns to the High Desert this weekend.

The Quick Takeaway: Protect your plants tonight, dress in layers tomorrow morning, and enjoy a perfectly clear, sunny Sunday afternoon!
