Mild and clear conditions for the first day of spring

Happy Wednesday Central Oregon!  Today brings mostly sunny conditions and continued above average temperatures though we will top out a few degrees cooler than yesterday.  Little concern for freezing conditions during your morning commute with dry and warm conditions of the recent forecast.

High pressure continues to dominate the weather pattern, but this will be changing today as an upper level shortwave moves onshore and through the area ahead of developing offshore low pressure that will approach the coast as we near the weekend and help bring some moisture to the area.  Some snow will be possible in the highest elevation Cascade crests as a result of this weather pattern.

Winds today will be out of the south in thew 5-10mph range early then the 15-20mph range by late afternoon before calming down a bit overnight. The east slopes of the Cascades may even see slightly stronger winds. Highs will be in the 60s and lows will be in the 30s and 40s.
