Wintry weather returns to the High Desert

Good morning Central Oregon!

A Winter Weather Advisory will go into effect tonight at 11pm and last until 4pm Thursday.

This will mainly affect the cities of Bend, Redmond, Madras, and Prineville. These areas could see up to two inches of snow accumulation so this could impact the morning commute tomorrow.

It’s going to feel more like winter than spring today. We are seeing a significant drop in temperatures. Yesterday highs were in the 70s, but Wednesday brings us back down into the 40s.

Today the lower elevations will mainly be dealing with rain showers, but snowfall is expected up in the Cascades. Snow accumulations should be low, but it will be falling for the next several days.

Generally, off and on rain and snow will define the region through Friday.

Enjoy the rest of your day.
