Mostly sunny and clear today

Happy eclipse day!

Although we are not in the path of totality, Central Oregonians can expect to see the moon cover about 26% of the sun.

This will occur around 11:25 a.m. Mostly sunny skies are likely this morning which will be good for the viewing.

Never look at the sun without proper equipment. Although you may have eclipse glasses from 2017, glasses more than 3 years old can be dangerous for the eyes.

We will see sunny and clear skies over the High Desert. Temperatures will reach the mid 50s to 60s throughout the region. Tree pollen levels are moderate.

Tomorrow dry conditions are in the forecast. We'll be seeing temperatures warm up into the 70s this week in some areas.
