Possible showers, few storms today and tomorrow

Good morning!

We are exiting out of the dry and mild pattern and entering a rainy and stormy one.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed Eastern Oregon under the Marginal Risk for severe storms Friday with gusty winds and hail the main issues. Although Central Oregon is not included in this risk, we still could see some showers and storms.

Keep in mind... if thunder roars go indoors. If you're out and about, make sure you can find a place to take cover from lighting.

Today highs will reach the 50s and 60s throughout the High Desert. It will be mostly cloudy today.

More showers are in the forecast for tomorrow. The rain will be on the light side, but a few pockets of moderate to heavy rain may occur. The melting rain and snow may allow waterways to run fast and full so keep an eye on streams and creeks.
