A shift from a dry to wet pattern ahead

Happy Wednesday Central Oregon!

It looks like it’s going to be another quiet day on the High Desert.

Conditions will be sunny and temperatures will mainly be in the 60s across the region.

Firefighters are planning to continue prescribed burning today on the Bend-Fort Rock and Sisters Ranger Districts. Don’t be surprised if you see some smoke in La Pine and along Highway 97. Smoke may also be visible from Sisters and Highway 20.

We'll see an increase in cloud cover as we move through the day with overnight lows will drop into the 30s.

Light rain showers are in the forecast to take over the region tomorrow after sunrise. This is good because it should scour out any smoke lingering from the day before.

In addition to the rain, expect a drop in temperatures. Most of the region will see afternoon highs in the 50s tomorrow.

It will be a mostly cloudy day on Friday with a few light showers.

Enjoy the rest of your day.
