The rain makes a return

Happy Thursday!

We're seeing a shift in the weather pattern. Expect some light rain to arrive before noon today that will linger off and on through tomorrow.

Central Oregon is going to be on chilly side with afternoon highs topping out in the middle 50s.

It was a bit smoky yesterday due to prescribed burns happening near the La Pine and Sisters area. The good news is that the rain showers should scour out the smoke which impacted yesterday's air quality.

Some snowfall is possible on the highest elevations of the Cascades, specifically above 6000 feet. Mountain passes may be impacted by snow which could create slick roads.

Friday will be a cloudy day with off and on rain showers. We'll continue to see persistent cloud cover through the weekend.

Enjoy the rest of your day.
