Off and on rain today, cooler temperatures

KTVZ-TV

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - We’re tracking a midweek pattern change bringing cooler and more unsettled weather to Central Oregon. Highs will only reach the mid 50s to around 60 degrees this afternoon.

Expect scattered showers today with mainly light rain.

Oregon has been placed in the "general thunderstorm risk" category by the Storm Prediction Center. There is a slight chance for an isolated thunderstorm this afternoon, so stay weather aware if you hear thunder.

Overnight lows will dip into the 30s and low 40s.

We’ll cool even more Wednesday, with afternoon highs in the low to mid 50s. A few additional showers are possible before conditions begin to clear later in the day. It may feel breezy at times, but we are not expecting thunderstorms on Wednesday.

Drier and milder weather returns Thursday and continues into the weekend.

Temperatures climb back into the mid 60s for several days with partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies. The second half of the week will offer the best window for outdoor plans.
