Air quality issues, mild Tuesday ahead

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - We’re continuing the warming trend, with temperatures rising well above normal as we head toward the end of the week.

Prescribed burning has impacted the air quality in parts of Deschutes County today. Smoke tends to settle in overnight into the early morning, so you should close the windows.

Today stays quiet across Central Oregon, with highs in the low to mid 60s and a bit of a breeze this afternoon.

Expect partly cloudy skies overnight with temperatures dipping into the upper 20s & low 30s.

Temperatures climb into the upper 60s to low 70s tomorrow as high pressure builds in. Expect mostly sunny skies for your Wednesday and Thursday plans.

By the end of the week and into the weekend, highs reach the mid to upper 70s. We should be in the low 60s this time of year, so this is definitely more of a June feel.

We’ll see a few more clouds this weekend with a slight chance for a stray shower, but overall it stays warm and mostly dry.
