Unseasonably warm week ahead for Central Oregon

KTVZ-TV

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - We have a beautiful week ahead with plenty of sunshine and unseasonably warm temperatures as a ridge of high pressure builds over the Pacific Northwest.

Today will feel more summer-like with highs climbing into the 70s and 80s. Typical highs for early May are in the low 60s.

Expect mostly sunny skies with north winds picking up this afternoon, gusting up to 20 mph.

Skies will stay mostly clear overnight with lows dipping into the 40s.

We'll see another sunny day on Tuesday with temperatures in the mid to upper 70s.

Wednesday and Thursday will be a touch warmer, but overall the pattern stays consistent with warm, sunny conditions through the week.

Temperatures stay in the 70s to 80s as we head into the weekend, with little to no chance for rain.

Enjoy the sunshine this week if you can get outside. Make sure to stay hydrated and wear sunscreen, and remember to practice fire safety as warm, dry conditions continue.
