Warm and sunny for your Cinco de Mayo plans

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - We’re holding onto warm, summer-like temperatures across the High Desert this week, running about 10 to 15 degrees above normal. This is thanks to a strong ridge of high pressure building over the Pacific Northwest.

If you have outdoor plans for Cinco de Mayo, conditions are looking great. The region warms into the mid to upper 70s today under mostly sunny skies. It will turn a bit breezy this afternoon as winds pick up.

Temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 40s overnight under mostly clear skies.

Not much changes for Wednesday and Thursday. We stay dry with plenty of sunshine and highs in the upper 70s to low 80s.

By the end of the week, a system off the coast may start to break down this warm pattern. There’s still some uncertainty, but we could see a slight chance of showers or storms, mainly in the Cascades, along with a few more clouds and temperatures cooling back into the mid 70s.

Have a great Tuesday!
