Monday rain, drying and warming pattern ahead

KTVZ-TV

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Expect mostly cloudy skies this Monday as scattered showers develop across the region. Chances for light rain will increase through the afternoon and evening as an area of low pressure moves into the Pacific Northwest.

It will be a cooler day with highs in the 50s and 60s along with breezy winds at times. The chance for thunderstorms in Central Oregon is very low, though a few storms could develop over the mountains of eastern Oregon later today.

A few lingering showers are possible early Tuesday before drier weather begins to return. We’ll see increasing sunshine Tuesday with highs warming into the mid 60s.

Temperatures will continue climbing through the middle of the week, reaching the 70s by Wednesday. A ridge of high pressure building offshore will support a warming and drying trend across the region.

Warm conditions continue heading into the weekend with highs in the 80s through Sunday. Some lower elevation locations could even approach the 90-degree mark later this week.

Have a great Monday!
