Monday rain, drying and warming pattern ahead

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - A storm system moving in from the Gulf of Alaska will bring widespread showers to the Pacific Northwest today.

Most areas will only see light rainfall, but the Cascades could pick up some steadier rain. Winds will become breezy this afternoon and stronger overnight into Tuesday.

The chance for isolated thunderstorm development is very low.

High temperatures will stay cooler than normal for early June, only reaching the upper 50s to mid 60s.

A few lingering showers are possible early Tuesday before drier weather begins to return. We’ll see increasing sunshine through the day with highs warming into the mid 60s. Winds will stay breezy tomorrow.

Temperatures continue climbing through the middle of the week, reaching the 70s by Wednesday as high pressure builds offshore and brings a warmer, drier pattern.

Warm weather continues into the weekend with highs in the 80s through Sunday. A few lower elevation locations could even approach 90 degrees later this week.

Have a great Monday!
