Downtown Bend to host Hixon Mortgage Summer Festival in May 2026

BEND, Ore (KTVZ) - The Hixon Mortgage Bend Summer Festival will return to downtown Bend, Ore., from Friday, May 29, through Sunday, May 31, 2026. This year marks the event's first-ever move to late May and introduces Hixon Mortgage as the new title sponsor.

The annual community festival, produced by Lay It Out Events, will take over multiple blocks in downtown Bend with art, music, food, shopping and family-friendly fun. This new timing aims to launch the summer festival season with ideal early-summer weather. Hixon Mortgage, a locally owned mortgage company, focuses on helping families achieve homeownership.

The festival weekend begins on Friday, May 29, with music and food along Oregon Avenue from 4–10 p.m. Full festival programming will run across downtown on Saturday, May 30, from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. and on Sunday, May 31, from 11 a.m.–5 p.m.

Festivalgoers can expect a vibrant mix of fine art, handmade goods, local shopping, live music and pop-up performances throughout the weekend. More than 80 regional and national artisans will line Bond Street. Additional vendor areas will highlight clothing, jewelry, specialty foods, wine and Central Oregon businesses.

Derek Meyer, president of Hixon Mortgage, expressed enthusiasm for their new role as title sponsor. "Hixon Mortgage is fired up to be part of Summerfest and celebrate what makes our community so special!" Meyer said. The event is presented by Hixon Mortgage and supported by a wide range of local and regional sponsors.

Further event details, including the full schedule and sponsorship and vendor opportunities, are available at bendsummerfestival.com. The 2026 lineup for live music and performances will be announced soon.
