A woman who told Redmond police Monday a man she’d been dating assaulted and held her against her will was nearly kidnapped by him at an area motel early Tuesday morning, but a motel worker came to her aid and he fled, police said. The suspect was arrested Tuesday night and was charged Wednesday with 18 crimes, including attempted murder.
